Weekly MATLAB Assignments (2017)

 

Please, follow carefully the instructions that appear after clicking on the title of each assignment, and return your work to the teaching assistant Matteo Pedone.

 

Note that the Matlab exercises are individual, and each student must complete the Matlab code BY HIMSELF/HERSELF.

 

The results are published at this link and they are periodically updated.

Evaluation criteria:

Each weekly assignment is graded with a score of maximum 3 points. There will be totally six assignments, which amounts to 18 earnable points. Each student must obtain at least 9 points from the weekly assignments in order to pass the course. The remaining 9 extra points will be weighted by a multiplicative factor and then added to the score of the written test in the following way:

1) First exam (or intermediate exams) ==> Matlab weight factor: 0.56

2) Second exam ==> Matlab weight factor: 0.28

3) Third exam or more ==> Matlab weight factor: 0

 

 

Matlab 

There is a vast amount of online material available such as Matlab primer. For doing the assignments, you can use Matlab in computer classrooms or you can download ThinLinc client to your own computer for free and connect, for example, to st-cn0001.oulu.fi. It will open a Linux desktop, where you can lauch a terminal window and start Matlab.
