Programmable Web Project

NOTE:

This page won't be updated anymore (December 2016). Updated documentation of the course will be available through our Confluence wiki: http://atlassian.virtues.fi:8090/display/PWP. Important emails will be distributed through weboodi.

The objective of the course is to supply the student with basic understanding of existing technologies for the Programmable Web. During the course students will design and implement a RESTful API and a client application that uses such API.

The course starts with two lectures, followed by five mandatory laboratory exercises. The project work is done in group of three people and it is divided into several deadlines that students have to meet to pass the course.

Course official language is English.

Please register to the course in WebOodi! You must register both to the course and to one of the two exercise groups.  Each exercise group will have different deadlines for the project work. The three members of the group should register in the same exercise group.

NOTE:  Students with good programming skills and with some experience in web programming can skip the deadlines and present the final version of the project work. They must do the exercises by their own, though. They will not receive intermediate feedback from course staff. Please, choose this option ONLY if you think you have enough experience.
